There's more to this Kona N Line than just a pretty face and sporty little body. You may agree that first impressions or the way a vehicle looks, are just as important as all the cool features inside and how mush gas mileage it gets. If you don't like the exterior, it's likely you will look no further.
I loved the featured grill and front facia design as you can see in the photo at left. An important part of design for me is the use of colors, the blending of mixed materials and aesthetically pleasing lines. The Kona gets high marks in this category from me.
The 2022 Hyundai Kona is the winner of several media and industry awards. The N Line version I tested is even more impressive. Kona N Line maximizes the sporty factor with an appearance package that really stands out . Both the front and rear ends get the special N Line makeover as well as the 18-in diamond cut wheels.
Inside, the cabin is packed with N Line exclusive touches and ample room for the driver and passengers.
The drive was quick and responsive. I like the balance and handlingon the curves. The 195-hp turbo inline-four powertrain can get peppy, road test analyst Alan Lau noted it provided an unremarkable launch and the "drivetrain felt kind of lazy, too."
The test drive got more intense as we hit the open road. We recorded a best 0-60-mph time of 7.3 second for the Kona N Line and a quarter-mile time of 15.7 seconds at 91.5 mph.
All in all this is a very capable car that has lots of features that make it among the best in class.
